#FOODGASM : Calling all Tom Yam fanatics (:
I came across Jemari when my mummy was working at Kelana Jaya. I used to visit her during her lunch time and some of her colleagues recommended Jemari as they knew I loved tom yam. The first time I went there and tasted the tom yam, I felt like I had finally found the perfect tom yam. The tom yam campur which consist of prawn, cuttlefish (sotong), chicken and mushrooms only costs RM8.80 which can be shared by 2 persons. Now the taste, how do I describe it? It's spicy, sour and sweet not like the traditional Thai cuisine. One plate of rice is surely not enough to enjoy this delightful dish.
I also discovered a crowd favourite which is the Kerabu Kangkung which is a vegetable dish that is unlike the usual. The kangkung is wrapped in flour and fried till crispy. Then a sweet and sour Thai sauce is added with nuts and chilli. Even those who totally hate vegetables (like me :P) will be entized by this dish, trust me cause it ain't your regular vegetable dish. The best part is this dish goes perfectly well the Tom Yam soup.
Now to get there via public transportation, you just gonna take the T625 bus from Taman Bahagia LRT station and get off at the bus stop opposite 99 Speedmart. Jemari is a few shops away from 99 Speedmart, next to Tutti Frutti. For those who are driving, just Waze it :)
Know of a place that serves foodgasmic tom yam? Lemme know about it because I can never get enough of tom yam =D

#OOTD : Pretty in pink ❤
I'm a totally fanatic pink freak. Like I have to have everything in pink if possible. So I guess that would sum up this pink overloaded outfit. From the pink flower to the dress and shocking pink Converse! But would you believe me if I told you I am a thrifty shopper? Everyone who personally knows me, knows that I'm a shopaholic. I just can't resist a good bargain literally. The dress that I'm wearing costs only RM5. I got it from bundle clothes shop at PD and I couldn't believe it when I found that dress in the shop.
Now let's talk about the shoes. Converse is a good investment and it's not the shopaholic in me trying to defend myself. Converse can be worn with almost anything - jeans, dress, skirts, shorts and basically anything else informal. The best part about it is the older it gets the better it looks. No one throws away their Converse cause it just keeps getting better. I pride myself of getting the right shoes because I walk a lot as I take public transportation wherever I go. And with the unpredictable weather, rain or shine Converse endures it all.
The one thing I learned about shopping over these past couple of years is that you need to know what to save on and splurge on. Accessories like the flower hair clip which I got at Lovisa, is something to save on. New trends will keep arising so you will need to keep updating yourself with the latest accessories. Either wait for the sales, Lovisa sells flower crowns at RM30 for 3 during sales or buy them from flea markets at RM10 for 3. My personal opinion, wait for sales cause flea market quality may not be up to standards. Splurging would be like a pair of Converse or jeans. You aren't going to buy 10 pairs of different colored Converse right? One pair can last you a minimum of 5 years so splurge on them.
Always remember to divide the price of the item with how many times you're going to wear it. That dress from H&M that costs RM200 is probably only going to be worn once every 3 months because no one likes to be seen in the same attire constantly right? So is it worth the splurge? Of course not!
Wanna go shopping with me, let's make it a date cause I'm always up for shopping ;)

#FOODGASM : Starbucks Junkie (:
It only felt right to make my first foodie post be about my all time favourite addiction Starbucks. It's hard to believe that I survived 17 years of my life without it. Did you know that Starbucks opened their first store at Seattle in 1971 and only sold coffee beans and coffee making equipment? Like woah I was amazed when I found out about this. Imagine if Howard Schultz who was hired as Director of Retail Operations didn't think of selling drinks rather than just beans and machines? We wouldn't be having our heavenly cups of Starbucks today!
Anyways, enough about the history. My first cup of Starbucks was a Mocha Frappucino but now I've moved on to the Coffee Frappucino cause I got immune to the mocha, like it didn't wake me up anymore. For all you coffee addicts though there's the Espresso Frappucino which is just woah too damn strong for me. It left me with a bitter after taste that I wasn't comfortable with. AND WHIP CREAM is the bomb! I can literally get diabetes from just looking at it. It's extra whip cream for me ALWAYS!
Starbucks also comes up with new limited edition drinks from time to time. The most recent ones were the Summer Frappucinos - Summer Berry Panna Cotta and Dark Mocha Panna Cotta which sold out nationwide. Panna cotta is a creamy Italian dessert that's kinda like pudding but wayyy better. The Summer Berry consisted of a blend of blueberries, cranberries, mulberries, strawberries, milk, and ice sitting atop a layer of panna cotta pudding, finished with whipped cream and a sweet berry drizzle. Ordering the Dark Mocha gets you a blend of coffee, espresso, and ice on top of a layer of panna cotta, garnished with whipped cream and a sprinkle of dark mocha powder. But if you have missed out on that, have no fear cause there is definitely more to come.
There's also a secret menu (how could you do this to us Starbucks?) Some of the drinks in the secret menu would be Honey Vanilla Mocha Frappucino, Cotton Candy Frappucino, Nutella Frappucino and like so many more. However it depends on the branch if they have the ingredients for the secret menu so all the best trying your luck and do let me know if you try them (:
Lemme know if you wanna grab a cuppa cause I'm always up for Starbucks ♥
